To mirror that same philosophy internally, HowNow wanted to invest in their first-time managers and high-potential talent to give them the tools and confidence to lead effectively, not just manage. Rather than a “once and done” intervention, the team were looking for a partner who could deliver a sustainable behaviour change journey that reflected their culture of continuous learning.
Having experienced Coachable’s Further programme first-hand, the Head of People knew we could bring impact quickly while maintaining a deeply human approach.
With most participants stepping into leadership for the first time, getting the foundations right was critical. HowNow rolled out our Emerge programme: a six-part experience focused on five core leadership behaviours:
Delivered bi-weekly to their remote-first team, Emerge blended coaching, reflection and practical tools to help new managers translate learning into real-world action.
The results spoke for themselves. HowNow’s leaders reported significant gains in confidence, self-awareness and their ability to lead through coaching, building the foundations for a consistent, people-first management culture.
Beyond the metrics, the biggest shift was in mindset and confidence. With those foundations in place, HowNow is now building a leadership culture that scales as fast as their business.

Emerge has really brought out the self-reflective side of me. Although not a leader yet, the programme has given me some super frameworks to use, new approaches to try and the confidence to have some difficult conversations!
I feel I've now got the confidence and knowledge to head into my first management role! Plus things I can do before then to get myself ready!
